  • 11 "media" computers on 1st and 2nd floors equipped with flatbed scanners
  • 2 Bloomberg terminals on 2nd floor
  • 2 accessible computer with JAWS, ZoomText 9.1, flatbed scanner, and Kurzweil 3000 applications, near Rm. 113, 1st floor
  • 3 kiosk computers near the Reference Desk for quick catalog access
  • 2 stand-alone library catalog computers: one next to the Reference Kiosk and the other next to the Educational Resource Center Service Desk
  • 2 test scoring computers located in Educational Resource Center, 2nd floor

Bloomberg Terminals

Two Bloomberg Terminals are located on the 2nd floor (on the counter behind the Study Rooms). Access and usage of the Bloomberg Terminals is restricted to students registered in the Ricciardi College of Business and students enrolled in actuarial science courses.

Computer equipment is available for current BSU administrators, faculty, staff, and students, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Different types of equipment have different loan periods; however, all equipment types can be renewed only once

Items available at Circulation Desk

 Information Technology has partnered with the Library to offer a Chromebook Loaner Program. This program enables faculty (full-time and part-time) to borrow a Chromebook laptop for the full semester. The Chromebook provides faculty with the ability to access Windows Virtual Desktop (w/SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite, and most computer lab applications) the Chrome web browser, Blackboard, and Office 365 from anywhere on or off-campus.  You can contact the Maxwell Library at or by calling 508-531-1394 for more details.

One Button Studio



Maxwell Library has equipped room L113 as a recording studio to provide university students, faculty and staff with access to easy-to-use video recording and podcasting equipment.

The room can be checked out for one hour at the Circulation Desk or reserved (up to 14 days in advance) using the online One-Button Studio Reservation system.
