Accessible Parking
There is accessibility parking spots on Shaw Road. Disabled placard or license plates are required.
Elevators
Maxwell Library has two elevators. The ground floor stop requires a security-approved BSU Connect card. Approved cards are created by the Connect Card Office after authorization from Student Accessibility Services. Visitors who cannot use the stairs to go to the ground floor may ask Circulation Services or Reference Services for access to the ground floor via the elevator.
Rest Rooms
There is an accessible public restroom available on the ground floor. It is adjacent to the Coffee Cafe. If you need help finding it, you may ask at one of the service desks.
Accessible Plug-ins
The second floor of the library (near the elevator) has two wheel-chair accessible locations with electrical outlets.

Mon - Thur.: 7:30 am – 11:00 pm
Fri.: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Sat.: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
Sun.: 12pm – 10:00pm
Reference Services
Individuals needing physical help with research may ask Reference staff for assistance. For in-depth research please contact the reference desk in advance to assure that reference help will be available.
Retrieval of Library Materials
Individuals needing assistance with retrieving material may ask a staff member for help.
Off-Campus Database Access
Members of the Bridgewater State University community with active BSU user accounts may access the Maxwell Library's catalog and other databases from the Library Homepage.
Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery Services

Tour Maxwell Library
Library Instruction or Orientation
Reference Services offers library orientation and instruction. Meeting are arranged by contacting the Reference Desk or by submitting a Research Consultation Request Form. Meetings can take up to an hour, so please plan accordingly.
Assistive Technology
Two PCs with adaptive technologies and a CCTV are on the first floor of the library across from L113.
There is also one designated wheel chair accessible computer station near the reference desk (Most other stations are also wheel chair accessible.)
