- doollee.comDoollee is a free online guide to modern playwrights and theatre plays which have been written, adapted or translated, into English since the production of "Look Back in Anger" in 1956. doollee.com contains information on over 44,000 Playwrights and almost 150,000 of their Plays. The site is not terribly elegant, but does allow searching by Playwright or Play title. There are also links to purchase published versions of the plays and links to publishers and agents.

- Global Performing Arts Database (GloPAD)GloPAD records include authoritative, detailed, multilingual descriptions of digital images, texts, video clips, sound recordings, and complex media objects related to the performing arts around the world, plus information about related pieces, productions, performers, and creators.
- Internet Broadway DatabaseIBDB provides a comprehensive database of shows produced on Broadway, including all "title page" information about each production. IBDB also offers historical information about theatres and various statistics and fun facts related to Broadway. IBDB was created by the Research Department of The Broadway League, the national trade association for Broadway.
- Internet Off-Broadway Database – Lortel ArchivesProvides a catalogue of shows produced Off-Broadway including title page credits, original cast members and replacements, window card photos, awards won, number of performances and much more.
- National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. - PlaybillVaultPlaybillVault.com is a comprehensive database of Broadway history from Playbill Inc. Currently in beta, PlaybillVault covers productions from 1930 to the present. Search through over 420,000 people, 552 theaters, and over 7,100 shows.
- SIBMASSince 1954, SIBMAS has been the International Network of Cultural Heritage in the Performing Arts, gathering information documenting circus, dance, film, opera, theatre and puppetry. SIBMAS promotes research in the performing arts, facilitates networking among its members and shares resources about their specific collections and the performing arts in general.
