Children learning to read will love this book because it is simple enough for beginners. Lois Lenski originally wrote the story in 1934. The story of Mr. Small and his little red car is fun and easy to read. It chronicles what he encounters on a day with his car. Children will have no problem associating the words with the illustrations. Although the original publication had limited colors, the story has been published again with many bright colors that children will love.

A sembrar sopa de verduas is great Spanish-language book for young readers. The book is by famous children's book writer, illustrator and well known artist Lois Ehlert. A sembrar soda de verduras is a story about a daughter and her father growing all the vegetables that go into vegetable soup. Ehlert's story is very colorful and a great start for both younger Spanish and English Speaking users. The book has a lot of illustrations with the Spanish label so the reader can understand what is going on in the story. This story is in Spanish, but the original book is in English.

This children's spanish book is a story of tragedy to triumph. When a little black fish loses his family to a hungry tuna fish, the little fish must keep swimming. He courageously explores the deep blue sea and comes across a new school of little fish. The little black fish and his new friends must work together to overcome the dangers of the ocean. El camioncito Azul travels down a long farm road and meets a bunch of animals as he goes along. Each animal makes their unique noise and tells their individual story. El camioncito Azul stumbles upon a large dump truck that gets stuck in the mud and El camioncito Azul tries to push him out, but he gets stuck as well. Both the dump truck and El camioncito Azul beep their horns and eventually the farm animals hear and come to help them out. The animals push both the dump truck and El camioncito Azul out of the tough mud. This charming children's book combines a cute story, wonderful illustrations, and an essential message that is great for young children of all ages!

The twenty-four-page book is filled with magnificent photographs of space. Not exactly a story but instead a formal way of explaining the process of going up to space, and when you get up there. While children's book mainly being animated, this book has pictures from real-life space cameras. The Spanish was relatively easy to understand based on being cognates and the help of the visuals. DaColl introduces the reader to a grandmother informing her young grandchildren on the proper ways to celebrate the holiday. Mother Goose in Spanish follows a young group of Spanish speaking children on a journey with the lady they call Mother Goose. The book follows a series of stories with illustrations about different things of the culture of Spain and Mexico through the rhymes and context of the Spanish language. Along the way you learn about different words in Spanish by the sole pictures alone which can be very challenging for some readers as the book is not in any English. The illustrations are rather blurry and lack the robust detail many people need to further their learning but helps learn the words faster as you read the rhymes.

This book tells the story of a mother duck along with seven of her eight ducklings as they go searching all day to find the eighth duckling, who spotted a butterfly and wanted to try and catch up to it to see it up close. Although this book doesn’t have a lot of words in it, Nancy Tafuri made incredible illustrations on each page. The illustrations help the reader to understand the story. The mother duckling stops and asks a few different animals in the pond if they have seen her duckling.

Children who are exposed to this book will be able to see the beautiful artwork created by Nancy Tafuri She used a variety of colors to make it look realistic. Children will be able to easily pick up what the story is about.

Claudia Rueda, a New York Times best selling Children Book author, has done it again. Ahí estabas is a growing up story. The story is based around this Girl, who is unnamed going through different times in her childhood. Just as many people do, she goes through many different fazes and and emotions. This book also includes beautiful illustrations by the well-know graphic designer, Rodrigo Morlesin. Children will need to learn basic Spanish before reading this story due to only Spanish words. The text, along with illustrations will make it easy for children to understand. This is a must read, recommended for the elementary level.

La Danza del Tiempo offers a creative take on the solar system and provides an array of vibrant illustrations. We start the book with an introduction to the director of the dance recital, Doña Sol, which is a respective way of saying Mrs. Sun to an elder woman. Each planet is a dancer and revolves around Doña Sol.
