Citing Sources: Chicago Style

Developed at the University of Chicago to aid graduate students in writing doctoral dissertations, this style has two options: The notes and bibliography system is used by many writers in literature, history and the arts. The author-date system is used in the physical, natural, and social sciences. The notes and bibliography system is similar to the Turabian format, and the author-date system is similar to the APA and MLA formats.

The examples, based on the 16th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, highlight some of the academic work of Bridgewater State University faculty.
