Mendeley is a free reference manager that can manage your references, share your research data with collaborators and cite using Mendeley Data. Mendeley Desktop is available on Mac, Windows and Linux. Mendeley Web functions on all major browsers. Mobile versions of Mendeley are available on iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

As of September 2020, there are currently two versions of Mendeley software available. Please note that the old Mendeley Desktop version will soon be retired and transitioned to Mendeley Reference Manager.

You will need an account to use Mendeley. You can use any email address to register. 

Register for an Account

Once you have an account you can download the Mendeley Desktop. 

If you are a new user, we recommend downloading the new Reference Manager, as Mendeley Desktop will eventually no longer be supported. 

Your data is safely stored on Mendeley’s servers. Mendeley will never publish private or personally identifiable data.
